Here is a nice article about Umida Agriculture in Farm Progress by Todd Fitchette, sharing details of our three years of trials in a Central Valley almond orchard owned by Donny Hicks. If you know Donny, then you know he loves the almond industry and is always willing to try new technology that can help other farmers. This trial drives that point, as Donny’s orchard is in an area with sufficient water resources, yet still works with us to test our water saving irrigation reduction technology. An interesting aspect of running commercial trials like this is that other residual outcomes are discovered during day-to-day operations, such as the reduction of herbicide and pesticide use, two things we never intended when initiating this trial. We hope you enjoy the article. Todd was able to pack a lot of information in this short 4 minute read.
